Are you one of those frazzled and over stressed teachers doing some form of remote learning? Or are you one of those teachers and ROCKING IT??? 🙂 Either way, I just uploaded updated my second digital creation, Apple Interactive Letters Bingo for Google Slides, and it was created with you and your students in mind. Apple O! is a fun interactive letter game using Google Slides that I hope the kids are going to love playing and teachers are going to love using. (Psst … I have lots of digital creations done now!)
Ok, wait, wait, wait …
The update of this resource was drastic. Total format change. Dare I say it’s cute?!? But other than that, the skill and printables are all pretty much still the same. If you purchase, you’ll get access to both the old and new version.
APPLE O! INTERACTIVE LETTERS BINGO GAME FOR GOOGLE SLIDES
Apple O! is paperless for students. There are 10 capital bingo cards and 10 lowercase bingo cards created with Google Slides that are assigned through Google Classroom. Each student is assigned their own bingo card. As the host/teacher calls out the letters or sounds, the student(s) drag the the interactive red or green bingo markers from the bottom of the card to cover the letters. When they get 4 in a row they yell Apple O! That’s so much more fun than Bingo! 😀 *calling cards and worksheets are printables in PDF form
Do you have students that have a hard time staying on task during remote learning? Using an interactive letters bingo game is a great way to work on those letters and sounds while keeping your students’ attention. Playing a game is always a good thing, and having a task to keep your students engaged in the activity is the key to the treasure box. And if they can possibly win something for doing it … DING, DING, DING … you’ve got a winner!!
After the bingo game is finished, there are two follow up worksheets. (printables from a PDF) Each worksheet has a capital and lowercase version and all can be used as assessments.
Worksheet 1 – The teacher calls out a letter or sound and the student stamps or colors that letter in the row. Each row has a small icon to help the student keep their place … such as a dot, heart, star, etc. The page can be folded in half vertically if the whole page is too overwhelming. There’s also a blank print version of the page so that the teacher can create their own page in case only specific letters are needed. The blank page is also available in Google Slides so that it’s editable there as well. (This is the only editable page)
Worksheet 2 – A cut and paste page matching capital to lowercase letter or vice versa. This page would work well for preK, kindergarten, or first grade Centers or Stations, morning work, early finishers, independent work, new or struggling learners and Special Education classrooms.
